The Luzerne County Historical Society recently held a meeting at the Kirby Episcopal House, Glen Summit, and invited historical societies and organizations from throughout the Wyoming Valley to share ideas. The Wyoming Valley Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) was represented by Ragan Blidner, regent; Heather Ruseskas, vice regent; and Joan Britt, registrar. The Wyoming Valley chapter is the oldest chapter in the state, celebrating its 124th anniversary this year. The NSDAR is open to any woman over the age of 18 who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution. For more information, contact Blidner at Ragan@epix.net. At the meeting, from left, are Britt and Carl Rosencrance, board president, Luzerne County Historical Society.
