Scouts of Junior Girl Scout Troop #32647 recently heard from guest speaker Carol Carroll of Gate of Heaven Parish about the importance of kindness, service, generosity and prayer. DALLAS — Gate of Heaven Church and Junior Girl Scout Troop #32647 hosted the I Live My Faith Catholic award program, open to girls in grades four through six. The purpose of of the program is to make girls more aware of the place that God and faith holds in their daily lives.

The girls learned to develop their self-awareness and potential as an ever-growing human person, as an involved member of their troop and parish, as a responsible member of their family and as a participating citizen of our nation, their neighborhood and city/town.

Girls who completed the program requirements will receive the I Live My Faith medal at the Annual Diocese of Scranton Scout Mass at 7 p.m. on Thursday June 4 at St. Peter’s Cathedral, Wyoming Avenue, Scranton. The Mass is open to the public and Scout families are encouraged to wear their uniforms for the Eucharistic celebration.
