The site of the former Hotel Sterling in downtown Wilkes-Barre has been a vacant lot now for some time.

As far as I know, they have not decided what to put on the property. It seems to me, the city of Wilkes-Barre does more talking than doing when it comes to progress.

There has been talk of a grocery store for the downtown.

I think the idea Scranton has to put a Reading Terminal Market-type place in The Mall at Steamtown would also work and would be welcomed by all.

If I remember correctly, this was talked about awhile back.

Maybe it’s time to think about it again.
