EXETER: The Cosmopolitan Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, in St. Anthony’s Center. Hosts and hostesses are Amy Alpaugh, Ed Czachor, Marion Kratzer and Tony Matreselva.
The previous meeting was the first meeting of the 40th year and 10 members were recognized for being with the club for 20 to 31 years. The 50-50 winners were Sam Ferrara, Ed Hall, Rosemary Golenski, Terri Mislan and Marge Zinkavich. Amy Alpaugh won the special game and Frances Poluske won the jackpot prize. Cheryl Pipher won the Derby raffle.
The 40th anniversary will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 12, with a Mass at St. Anthony’s church followed by a catered party at the Parish Center.
A casino trip to Sands is scheduled for Thursday, May 7, with pick ups in Exeter and Pittston. Non members welcome on trips. Call Johanna at 570-655-2720 for reservations and information.
FALLS: Members and friends of the Falls Active Adult Center, State Route 92, Exeter Township, celebrated the 69th wedding anniversary of center members, Don and Norene Faux. State Representative Karen Boback attended the event and presented a citation to the Fauxes with their four sons in attendance. The barbershop quartet Vocal Accord provided entertainment after lunch.
A lunch and learn session with Chris Ostroski from Candy’s Place will be held at 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8.
Students from the Susquehanna County Career and Technology Center will be at the center from 10:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, April 10, for a spa experience and neck and shoulder massages. They will be under the direction of Mrs. Warner, the massage therapy instructor. Pattie Gregorio will be available until 2 p.m. conducting instruction on mini facials and foot soaks. She is also a Mary Kay skin-care specialist and will offer tips on skin care and applying makeup.
HANOVER TWP.: The Lee Park Active Adult Center, 140 Lee Park Ave., is hosting a representative from Golden Living Center at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8, for an exercise program.
Free blood pressure screenings from a representative from the Hampton House will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 10.
A session on how to handle stress from a representative from Manor Care in Kingston will be offered at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April, 16.
Cognitive therapy from a representative from Guardian Center, Nanticoke, will be offered at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 23.
LUZERNE/WYOMING COUNTIES: The Area Agency on Aging announces the theme for this year’s Older Americans Month is “Get into the Act.”
This year’s 48th annual dinner dance will be held from noon to 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, at the Genetti Hotel and Conference Center, Market St., Wilkes-Barre. The doors will open at 11:30 a.m.
“An Affair to Remember” is the theme for this year’s dance and the entertainment will be presented by King Henry and the Showmen. Dinner selections are prime rib au jus, chicken cordon bleu or sole with stuffed crab imperial, accompanied by salad, potato, vegetable, coffee, tea and dessert. A cash bar will also be available.
Door prizes and a grand prize will be drawn. Tickets are $21 for those older than 60 and $23 for those younger than 60. To obtain tickets contact any of the 17 centers or call Rhonda Adams at 822-1158 ext. 3337.
MOUNTAIN TOP: The Mountain Top Social Club will meet at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, in the day room at St. Jude School.
The bus to Woodloch Pines, Hawley, for an Italian festival with dinner, show and bingo, will depart at 8:30 a.m. from the St. Jude Church parking lot and 9 a.m. from St. Al’s in Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday, April 15.

NANTICOKE: The Rose Tucker Active Adult Center, 128 W. Washington St., Nanticoke, is hosting a free financial education workshop from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday, April 13. “Savvy Saving Seniors” is a lunch-and-learn workshop that will include a free lunch. PLYMOUTH: The Plymouth Shawnee Senior Citizens will meet at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, in the First Welsh Baptist Church. Officers will meet at 12:30 p.m. Members are asked to bring “Thoughts of Spring” to share. Members should bring a sandwich. Beverages will be provided. New members welcome.
PLYMOUTH: The Senior Citizens’ Friendship Club of St. Mary’s will meet at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 13, at the Holy Child School Building, Willow Street. Servers are Ann Koprowski, Mary Larko, Lorraine Loftus and Suellen and Tom Kravulski.
At the previous meeting, cash prize winners were Jane Thomas, Janice Perfetto and Ed Snitko. Dishes of homemade cookies were won by Chris Hurst, Maggie Panek and Louis Bednarski.
The Mom and Dad dinner will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 11, at R&D Memories, Fellowes Avenue, Hanover Township. The committee will start taking reservations at the next meeting.

SWOYERSVILLE: The Swoyersville Senior Citizens will meet on Wednesday, April 8, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in the social hall. There will be refreshments and bingo will be played.
At the previous meeting, the 50-50 winners were Ann Kuchemba and Jennie Engle.
WILKES-BARRE: The St. Robert Bellarmine Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, in the school cafeteria. Servers are Otto Eime, Barbara Elgonitis, and Frank Forlin.
At the last meeting, the springer winner was Romaine Brown and the 50-50 winners were Lois Thomas, Regina Korba and Romaine Butka.
The Mother’s/Father’s Day dinner will be held at the regular meeting on Wednesday, May 13, and will be catered.
New members recently welcomed into the club are Chris and Bill Hurst, Lois Thomas, Joan West and Agnes Hummel.
A trip is scheduled for Wednesday, April 15, to Woodloch Pines for an Italian festival, dinner and show.
