Local and state gas prices held the line overnight, while the national average increased slightly.

AAA Mid-Atlantic provided the following data for today’s average gas prices in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and nationwide:

• Wilkes-Barre area gas average at $2.50 today, unchanged overnight and unchanged in the last week. Diesel at $3.20 today, down a penny overnight.

• Pennsylvania gas average at $2.53 today, unchanged overnight and unchanged in the last week. Diesel at $3.25 today, down a penny overnight.

• National gas average at $2.39 today, up a penny overnight, down 2 cents in the last week. Diesel at $2.80 today, unchanged overnight.
