WILKES-BARRE — Dominick Meininger told police he’s no snitch.

Meininger, 19, allegedly admitted to stealing wine and prescription medications from an apartment at Interfaith Heights after the tenant was found dead in the residence on March 10. But Meininger, of East Northampton Street, denied he had stolen jewelry and a television, according to charges filed.

Meininger was arraigned Wednesday by District Judge Martin Kane on charges of burglary, possessing instruments of crime and theft. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $20,000.

The alleged burglary was not the first incident involving Meininger at Interfaith Heights on Coal Street.

City police have charged Meininger five times with defiant trespassing at the apartment complex since November, court records say.

According to the latest criminal complaint:

Meininger forced open the front door to an apartment in Building 125 the same day the body of Theresa Kolesar was removed from the residence on March 10.

Kolesar’s sister, Jennifer Kolesar, reported the apartment was ransacked on March 17, the first chance she was able to access the apartment after her sister’s death.

Jennifer Kolesar reported a television, jewelry, a Social Security debit card, pill bottles and bottles were wine were stolen from the apartment, the complaint says.

Another tenant allegedly spotted Meininger forcing his way inside Kolesar’s apartment, police said.

Police said Meininger admitted he used a flathead screwdriver to pry open the door and took wine and prescription medications, the complaint says.

Meininger allegedly told police he told another person that the door was open but refused to give the name of the other person, telling police, “I’m no snitch,” according to the complaint.

Court records say Meininger is facing five separate counts of defiant trespass at Interfaith Heights on Nov. 14, Jan. 8, Feb. 6, March 16 and March 19.
