LA PLUME: Keystone College is hosting an open house on Saturday, April 25, at its La Plume campus. Registration is required and will begin at 9 a.m. in the Theatre in Brooks. The day’s activities will conclude at 1:30 p.m.

Prospective students and their families will have the opportunity to tour the campus and meet with personal enrollment advisers, faculty members and students. Information on admissions, academic programs, financial aid, scholarships, student life, athletics and the honors program will be provided.

LEHMAN TWP.: Penn State Wilkes-Barre hosted the Pennsylvania Northeast Regional Science Olympiad on Wednesday, March 11. Students from 50 schools in northeastern and central Pennsylvania competed in individual and team events. The Science Olympiad is devoted to increasing student interest in science, recognizing outstanding achievement and improving the quality of science education. The winners of the regional contest will advance to the state competition to be held in April at Juniata College.

The winners were: Division B (Middle School): Wyoming Area Secondary Center, first; Park Forest Middle School, second; Wayne Highlands Middle School, third; JT Lambert, fourth; Wilkes-Barre Academy, fifth; Abington Heights Middle School, sixth; Wallenpaupack Middle School, seventh. Division C (High School): North Pocono High School, first; Stroudsburg High School, second; Abington Heights High School, third; Wyoming Area Secondary Center, fourth; Lehighton High School, fifth; Dallas High School, sixth.
