AVOCA — Starting Friday, May 1, Avoca Borough will alternate the collection of cardboard and newspaper weekly. Cardboard will be collected on Tuesday, May 5 and Wednesday, May 6. The following week will be newspaper and going forward each week will alternate. Commingled recyclables will be accepted each day, each week.

Recycling calendars are available for residents at the municipal building and at the municipal garage.

The Moosic Recycling Truck is available to Avoca residents on Wednesdays and Thursdays of each week to drop off recyclables at the Avoca Municipal Garage located at 1103 Plane St. Gates open at 8 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.
