A PennDOT traffic camera shows traffic congestion on Interstate 81 north near Wilkes-Barre Exit 168 caused by a crash about 6 miles north near mile markers 174 or 175.
A crash on Interstate 81 has backed up northbound traffic for miles.
According to a Luzerne County 911 dispatcher, a vehicle spun out and crashed in the northbound lanes of I-81 somewhere near mile markers 174 and 175, which indicates the crash occurred either in Pittston Township or Laflin.
Traffic is backed up nearly to Wilkes-Barre Exit 168, according to 511pa.com — the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s online travel information service.
