Sunshine should last until the latter part of the week in the Wyoming Valley.

The National Weather Service indicated that it was 48 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with overcast skies kicking off the day.

The Susquehanna River was at 12.5 feet as of 6:45 a.m. this morning.

Cloudy skies will gradually clear today, with a high near 68 degrees. Clouds will move back into the region tonight, but once again clear by daybreak. Tonight’s low will be around 37 degrees.

Sunny skies are predicted for Wednesday, with a high near 64 degrees. Clear skies will follow into Wednesday night, with a low around 34 degrees.

Mostly sunny are expected for Thursday, with a high near 64 degrees. Mostly cloudy skies will return on Thursday night, with a chance of showers after 2 a.m. Thursday night’s low will be around 45 degrees.
