LEHMAN TWP. — Dallas scored in every inning, but could not break away from host Lake-Lehman until putting up seven runs in the seventh and final inning of a 16-9 victory in its Wyoming Valley Conference Division 2 softball opener April 9.

Talia Szatkowski, who doubled, and winning pitcher Maddie Kelley each had two hits for Dallas.

The Mountaineers rallied from a 7-6 deficit after four innings in a game that was tied at the end of the first, fifth and sixth innings.

Abbey Hogan and Cassandra Konopki each had two singles and a double for Lake-Lehman. Chloe VanGorder added a triple and single.

The game was moved to Lake-Lehman’s field, meaning the second meeting of the season between the Back Mountain rivals will now be played at Dallas May 11.
