April 2004

Lake-Lehman won just six of 18 events, but outpointed Meyers with a 25 of a possible 30 second- and third-place finishes in an 86-65 win over Meyers in Wyoming Valley Conference girls track and field.

Jamie Lipski (800) and Allison Boris (400) each won an individual event and also were on the Black Knights’ winning 1,600 and 3,200 relay teams. Jessica Callahan won the 1,600 and 3,200 runs.

April 1994

Dallas Youth Girls Basketball’s sixth-grade team was named champion of the Gate of Heaven and the Regis Academy Tournaments.

Members of the team were Michelle Pryor, Jennifer Noon, April Naugle, Kendall Santarelli, Stephanie Simonitis, Sarah Nichol, Erika Turner and Jeannie Dreier. The team was coached by Joe Noon.

April 1984

The Dallas softball team scored five runs in the fifth inning and defeated Wyoming Seminary in Wyoming Valley Conference action.

Entering the fifth inning tied at 5, Dallas was led by Lori Handley, who went 3-for-4 from the plate and scored three runs. Sheri Cicarelli and Jill Radzinski banged out back-to-back doubles in the win.

April 1974

Dallas’ baseball team turned back St. John’s, 12-1, in the opening week of the high school baseball season. Two days later, the Mountaineers beat Wyoming Seminary 24-0.

Against St. John’s, Chuck Wilson allowed only seven hits and added three hits and two runs scored. Earl Harris belted a three-run double in the fourth inning to open up the game.
