Alicia Nicole Lewis and Stephen Aubrey Williamson were united in the sacrament of marriage on July 2, 2016, at St. Mary’s Church, Wilkes-Barre, by the Rev. J. Duane Gavitt. The date was chosen in memory of the bride’s late maternal grandmother, Grace Reilly. It would have been her 80th birthday.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Kathryn Lewis, Wilkes-Barre. She is the granddaughter of the late Grace Reilly, the late Edward Campbell, and the late Henry and Rose Lewis.
The groom is the son of Richard Williamson, Martinsburg, West Virginia, and Donna Kratz, Hanover Township. He is the grandson of Thomas and Martha Sedlak, Hanover Township.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She chose her friend, Carissa Welles, as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jacquelyn Andrejko, sister of the groom; Brittany Williamson, sister of the groom; Jennifer Rosengrant, friend of the bride; Madison Ulitchney, niece of the groom; and Kaylee Rushton, daughter of the bride.
The groom chose his friend, Corey Charnetski, as his best man. Groomsmen were Michael Lewis, brother of the bride; John Sedlak, uncle of the groom; Marques Cooley, brother of the bride; Devin Lewis, brother of the bride; and Tyler Ulitchney, nephew of the groom.
Readings were given by Kaylee Rushton and Richard Williamson. Gifts were presented by Michael and Gavin Lewis, nephews of the bride.
A special blessing was given to the bride and groom during the wedding ceremony by the groom’s grandparents.
The bride wore a Maggie Sottero lace, fit and flare gown with a sweetheart neckline, and a low scope back. The dress was accented with a grosgrain ribbon belt with a circular Swarovski crystal brooch and a chapel length train with the lace extending beyond the satin lining.
The bride was honored at a bridal shower hosted by the mother of the bride, maid of honor, bridesmaids, and mother of the groom at the Holiday Inn, Wilkes-Barre.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the father and stepmother of the groom at Rodano’s, in Wilkes-Barre.
An evening cocktail hour and reception were held at the Holiday Inn, Wilkes-Barre.
The bride is a 2008 graduate of E.L. Meyers High School and a 2012 cum laude graduate of Wilkes University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a certification in secondary education. She is employed as a substitute teacher at Hanover Area Jr/Sr High School.
The groom is a 2008 graduate of Hanover Area Jr/Sr High School and a 2012 graduate of Johnson’s College, where he earned his associates degree in carpentry and cabinet making. He is a member of the Carpenters Local 445, employed by Winola Construction Corporation.
The couple honeymooned in Hawaii where they visited the islands of Oahu and Maui.
