Jill Ann Houseknecht and Patrick James McGlynn Jr. were united in marriage on Sept. 24, 2016, in St. Nicholas Church, Wilkes-Barre. The ceremony was performed by Monsignor David L. Tressler. Concelebrants were the Reverend Joseph D. Verespy and the Reverend John C. Lambert.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Houseknecht, of Plains Township. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward DeMichele and the late Mr. and Mrs. Donald Houseknecht.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick J. McGlynn Sr., of Plains Township. He is the grandson of Ann Marie Horn, Wilkes-Barre; the late George N. Horn, and the late Mr. and Mrs. James McGlynn.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose her cousin, Elizabeth DeMichele, as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kelly McGlynn, sister of the groom; Alexandra Guida, cousin of the bride; Colleen Doyle, cousin of the groom and friend of the bride; Caila Klaiss, Mallory Nobile, Meghan Blewitt, Elizabeth Tigue, and Bridget Keating all friends of the bride and groom.

Ava DeMichele, cousin and goddaughter of the bride, was the flower girl.

The groom chose his closest friend, Michael Dillon, as his best man. Groomsmen were Donnie Houseknecht, brother of the bride; Daniel Horn, Patrick Scott cousins of the groom; Vito Malacari, Matthew Livoy, John Charles Blewitt, and Joseph Jenkins, friends of the bride and groom.

A welcome introduction was given by Megan Sellick, friend of the bride and groom. Scriptural readings were given by Edward DeMichele, uncle of the bride, Neil Horn, uncle of the groom, and Brian Osick, friend of the bride and groom. Offertory gifts were presented by Barbara Everding and James DeMichele, godparents of the bride, and Molly Middleton and Leonard Adamczyk, godparents of the groom.

The bride and groom were honored at an engagement party hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Neil G. Horn at Fox Hill Country Club, Exeter.

The bride was honored at a Bubbly Brunch themed display shower hosted by the mother of the bride and mother of the groom at Irem Temple Country Club, Dallas.

A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the parents of the groom at the Woodlands Inn and Resort, Wilkes-Barre. An evening cocktail hour and reception were held at the Westmoreland Club, Wilkes-Barre.

The bride is a graduate of Bishop Hoban High School and King’s College with a bachelor’s degree in mass communications. Jill is employed as a Chief Experience Officer at Cross Valley Federal Credit Union.

The groom is a graduate of Bishop Hoban High School and King’s College with a bachelor’s degree in mass communications and a minor in business administration. Patrick is employed by Mountain Productions, Inc. as a sales manager.

Following a honeymoon to Oahu and Maui, Hawaii, the couple resides in Plains Township.
