Kariann Iskra and Shawn White were united in marriage by Father Ken Seegar on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at St. Andre Bessette Parish, Wilkes-Barre.

The bride is the daughter of Carol Wadkins, of Bear Creek, and the late Carl Iskra, of Wilkes-Barre. She is the stepdaughter of the late Donald Wadkins, of Bear Creek. She is the granddaughter of the late Anthony and Florence Zaykoski, of Bear Creek.

The groom is the son of Deborah East, of Killeen, Texas. He is the grandson of the late Weldon and Joyce Moore, of Killeen, Texas.

The bride was given in marriage by her mother. She chose her sister, Michelle Dominick-Coffay, as her maid of honer. Bridesmaids were Leigh Zaykoski, cousin of the bride, Amy Pavia, Crystal Lovett, Amanda Marko, and Stacy Chronowski. Junior bridesmaid was Madelaine Gardner, daughter of the groom. Flower girls were Talia Lovett and Lydia Marko.

The groom chose Josh Wornham as his best man. Groomsmen were Scott Lovett, Chuck McManus, and Jon Yonkey. Jack Coffay, nephew of the bride, was the ring bearer.

Gift bearers were Sherri Schepers and Christy White, sisters of the groom, and John Coffay, brother-in-law of the bride. Scriptural readings were given by David Zaccheus, cousin of the groom, Ryan Kelly, cousin of the bride, and Marissa Warnick, cousin of the bride. Musical selections were sung by Janet Warnick, cousin of the bride, accompanied by Tom Zurla, friend of the bride.

An evening cocktail hour and reception was held at the Appletree Terrace at Newberry Estates, Dallas. The bride was honored at a bridal shower hosted by her mother and bridesmaids at her mother’s house. The rehearsal dinner was held at Pizza Bella, Plains.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of Coughlin High School and a 2002 graduate of Wilkes University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and certifications in elementary education and secondary mathematics. She earned master’s degrees from Wilkes University in classroom technology and educational development and strategies in 2006 and 2012, respectively. She is an eighth-grade math teacher for the Crestwood School District.

The groom is a 1998 graduate of Ellison High School, Killeen Texas. He is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business management from Misericordia University. He is employed as a business analyst by Navient Solutions LLC.

The couple is planning a summer honeymoon. They reside in Hudson.
