Lindsay Cooper and Philip Ferrese Jr. were united in marriage on June 2, 2018, at Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick’s Church in Olyphant. Monsignor Michael Delaney officiated the double-ring ceremony.
Mrs. Ferrese is the daughter of Nancy and Charles Cooper Jr., of Kingston. She is the granddaughter of the late Margaret and William Geist; Betty Jane Cooper, of Kingston; and the late Carolyn and Charles Cooper Sr.
Mr. Ferrese is the son of Frances Ferrese, of Olyphant, and the late Philip Ferrese Sr. He is the grandson of the late Elizabeth and Frank DeMatteo and the late Marian and Philip Ferrese.
The bride, escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, chose Christine Powell as matron of honor. Sierra DiBiase, daughter of the bride, was a bridesmaid. Peyton Burns, niece of the groom, and Alison Mazur, niece of the bride, were junior bridesmaids. Marley Mazur, niece and goddaughter of the bride, was flower girl.
Philip chose Bob Powell as his best man. Tristan Burns, nephew and godson of the groom, served as groomsman. Shane Hummer, nephew of the bride, served as ring bearer.
Linda Cooper-Smith, aunt of the bride, and George Smith, uncle and godfather of the bride, greeted guests prior to the ceremony. Scripture was read by Laura and Patrick Burns, sister and brother-in-law of the groom. Petitions were given by Carolyn Hummer, sister of the bride. Offertory gifts were presented by Kristen Cooper, sister of the bride; Donna Wrobleski, aunt of the groom; Judy Dougher, aunt and godmother of the groom, and Warren Ferrese, uncle and godfather of the groom.
The bride and groom hosted a cocktail hour and dinner reception at The Gramercy Ballroom and Restaurant in Pittston to celebrate the occasion and the groom’s birthday.
Following their honeymoon at Niagara Falls, Canada, the couple lives in Yatesville with the bride’s daughter, Sierra.
