Genevieve Kolenkiewicz, 78, of RR1, Shickshinny, died Sunday in Nesbitt
Memorial Hospital, KingstonBorn May 22, 1915, in Nanticoke, she was the
daughter of the late Floryan and Pauline Ciempola Bartkiewicz.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Church, Nanticoke.
She and her husband, Edward, who died July 3, 1993, owned and operated
Florek’s Cafe, Nanticoke, until their retirement.
Surviving are her son, Edward F., RR1, Shickshinny; two grandchildren;
sisters, Theresa Cupples, Princeton, N.J.; Tozia Macyda, West Nanticoke;
brothers, Walter, RR1, Hunlock Creek; Emil, Dearborn Heights, Mich.
Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Thursday from the Clarke Piatt Funeral Home
Inc., Sunset Lake Rd., Hunlock Creek, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30
a.m. in Holy Trinity Church.
Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
