WILKES-BARRE — In the interest of spreading warmth and encouraging kindness this holiday season, Building Blocks Learning Center will be opening up a holiday pop-up shop on Public Square later this week.

Starting on Thursday and running through Saturday, the Building Blocks Learning Center’s “Be Kind” pop-up shop will be giving away free winter hats and gloves to children and adults in need.

The shop will also be handing out complimentary hot chocolate, as well as a “Be Kind” t-shirt to the first 100 people who stop by the shop.

The shop’s hours are:

• Thursday, Dec. 10: 3-5 p.m.

• Friday, Dec. 11: 3-5 p.m.

• Saturday, Dec. 12: 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
